What is 4TheGirlsFastpitch?
It's an organization run by multiple college coaches at every division level, including a director with over 10 years of travel ball experience who also directs one of the top tournaments in the Midwest, focused on giving fastpitch softball players quality competition and college exposure.
What events do they run?
Their site is centered on an "Event Center" that displays the events they put on every year, with three Ohio-based events each season, including a well-known 10-14u tournament called Future Stars.
When is the Future Stars (10-14u) event?
It's traditionally held the third weekend in April each year, and registration opens roughly 11 months in advance because the event fills quickly every year.
What does the 10-14u spring event look like?
It's described as a 5-game friendly event playing like a competition for 10-14u, designed for all levels of play to get a lot of reps against like competition, with teams matched against similar competition and free substitution on offense and defense. There's no "play to stay" fee — it's positioned as a season tune-up.
What's the format of their showcase event?
One event is a 5-game guarantee — four 85-minute (finish the inning) showcase/pool play games Friday and Saturday, followed by a blind draw single-elimination bracket on Sunday, with an open roster and free substitution. Team selection is based on performance and how well they market/promote their players for college exposure, and the field is capped at 72 teams to maximize college exposure and keep games running smoothly.
Do they have an event for older/high school-age players?
Yes — a 14-18u, 5-game friendly event matching similar competition levels, always held the weekend after Labor Day, specifically to take advantage of D2, D3, and NAIA coaches' availability to attend. All games and age groups are placed at one location to maximize exposure, and it's also not a "play to stay" format.
How much college coach exposure can players expect?
